Hummer H2 Interior installing
Hummer H2 Interior – For that project we upgraded a 2006 Hummer H2, stock interior to some full custom leather interior, and installed a custom JL Audio sound system. Lets review many of the install…
First we started with removing the interior. Main reason why we start using the interior is, this takes some time, we prefer to obtain a head start for this section of our project. Additionally helps at the conclusion from the project, so we aren‘t waiting on parts. When the seats are out, we proceeded with stripping the old leather wraps to arrive at the seat heaters. Simultaneously we started made a template to the new leather. This interior we used top quality black leather to the seats and audio rack. We also went having a white stitching and custom embroidery on all of the headrests and upon the audio rack. On the way we added LED interior lights for mood beneath the seats and inside the amp rack. The finished interior consisted from the following : new leather seats, LED interior lighting, LED mood lighting under seats as well as on amp rack, Kenwood DNX 9960 headunit, 2 6
monitor on amp rack, bass control on dash, and together with push to talk GPS. Each door received a JL Evolution C5 component speaker, and our tweeters were published the door pillars
Once the interior is removed we transfer to the custom audio box. Lets review how we want our sub box and amp racks. Best places start is using the subs, We‘re using 2 JL Audio 12
MDF for the remainder of the box. After you have built your sub enclosure to the ideal dimensions, you are able to see what room you‘ve left over for other equipment. After your sub box is set up you are able to start the amp rack mock up. Determine how you would like them to be able to sit trying to find, then build a secure mounting platform.
You need to be extremely careful using the mounting from the sub bow and amp rack. If They‘re Not secured properly they could cause serious injury if they are available loose inside a sudden stop or an accident. We always bolt our sub enclosures towards the car to ensure safety. This really is also a very good time to feature Dynomat or other sound dampening materials needed. Now you have built your sub box and amp display its time for them to pull and begin wiring.
For that install we used 16 gauge wire for drivers, 18 gauge for tweeters, and 14 gauge from crossover to amplifier. Next is that the Stinger 6 channel audio RCA’s and 2 video cables. Powering the internal system we ran 0 gauge Stinger power wire and 4 gauge for the bottom which should goes straight towards the chassis in the amp rack. Finally we added a 250 amp inline fuse near our Stinger audio battery. (Remember always place your fuse as near the battery as you can if the power line shorts out ).
Now that weve a majority in our wire run we installed a Viper auto start and alarm. When you have never carried this out type on install It‘s recommended you have done professionally. Please remember most cars would require additional electronic units for coded keys along with radio replacement. Never assume you only can install a radio and become done. When it isn‘t done properly it may cause many problems. Our H2 needed 5 devices installed so the auto start and steering wheel controls would function correctly, along with the Sirius radio and onboard CPU. Now that many of us are done with wiring and everything is attached, we run an entire test before reassembly. Its the time to program any extra devices that were installed. Once all devices are running properly, turn from the vehicle and restart it to finish found out.
Now that weve tested the internal system we will start putting the new leathers upon the seats and reinstalling them inside the car. After its all back together we will setup or tweak the internal system to its full capability, again remember this ought to be done professionally.
